With Reclaimed Oak

I started WCW to handle a few of my favorite personality traits. Firstly to create ways of using reclaimed wood. Secondly to be able to devise products and processes that result in a quality that reminds of the standards that some of us remember. Thirdly is just simply the fact that I love to work with wood. With Wood Chucks Woods, I am starting with beautiful raised garden beds and planter boxes from reclaimed oak. I will be designing and building outdoor furniture and fixtures as I go and will update the website as often as possible.

Our Story

Jeni and I both local north Texans, born and raised. She has been a professional Artist since she was in college and I have been doing the wood thing for about 15 years. I started by restoring and repairing antique furniture for about 12 years. During that time I developed my aversion to the wasting of hardwoods. Everywhere I looked I saw great usable woods going to the dump or chipper. That's a tragedy! I started a wood mill many years ago with the hope that I could abate the waste a little. It was a amazing business model that just went against the city idea of what is great. So now I have a mini sized mill and a new source of wood and am doing it on a smaller scale.
